 You might have picked something up about Lost somewhere the past couple of years. It's a big success, so logically, it's everywhere. Don't be turned off by the fact that this is an extremely commercial product, though, because this first season will suck you right in and won't let you go far after you've watched the last episode of the 25 present in this box.What's the story? 48 people survive a plane crash and have to survive on a deserted tropical island. I know, it sounds cheesy, and you'd be forgiven to think that all you're going to see are some chaps trying to make a fire with stones and talking to a ball they gave a name (hold on... wasn't that Cast Away?), but actually Lost has more in common with the X-Files than anything. See, this island isn't your ordinary island. It has something walking around making a lot of noise and chomping off heads... it has a polar bear... it has a mysterious hatch that can't be opened... but above all, it got a great set of characters that grow with each episode. Each episode is mixed with some flashbacks about a certain person's life before the crash, so you'll get to know them better and it makes for diverse watching material. Of course, what happens on the island is still the most important factor in Lost, and you won't be able to contain yourself thinking about what is going to happen in the next episode. Well, guess what, you won't have to, because with this box, you'll be able to watch the entire season in one weekend. Highly recommended, frekkels. Comments |
I'm not much for TV shows, especially how you say 'commercial' ones, but i might check this show out. I know all the popular shows these days are Lost, Prison Break, Desperate Housewives, 24, and others, but to be honest, I tried but I can't seem to get into any of them. Well, I didnt try Lost, but Prison Break didn't really impress me (i might be the only one with this opinion, haha), and Desperate Housewives seems too much like soap opera, and 24 is too political. I still follow Survivor religiously, so maybe a show like Lost is up my alley.
We need more reviews like yours on Listal for all shows and movies and games, and then this web2.0 service will show its true potential.

Thanks for your kind words on my reviews, Im here for just one day and I have plenty in store. It helps that I love to review stuff though.
And I'm not really into 'trance' as they call the music Tiesto makes. While I hate to categorize music, that is one sort of music that is not up my alley.
As for TV shows, I heard good stuff about Deadwood. Did you see that one? I think its cancelled now, but its supposed to be a great western-style tv show.
